Finally released in April 2024, Raindrops’ Recovery is a collection of 16 cover songs arranged and produced by Randy; co-produced, mixed and mastered by Dave St. Onge at Digital Barn Studio, Ransomville, NY. The CD was performed and recorded with some of Randy’s longtime friends, musical partners and kin. Full credits appear on the CD panel below on the right.

Why ‘Raindrops’? Thanks to Andrew Harvey. Andrew was an older boy that lived up the street when Randy was growing up, charged with escorting the latter to grade school in his early years. Somehow he turned ‘Randy Andropolis’ into the nickname ‘Raindrops’ early on, and the name was given new life in 1961 when Dee Clark released his massive Billboard hit ‘Rain Drops’. After that, Andrew and the other kids on the block were more likely to sing the nickname than call it. The same kids often sang a cappella doo-wop top 40 songs while playing on the street, and ‘Rain Drops’ was a go-to favorite of the gang, along with current hits by Ricky Nelson.
